I am currently studying for a degree in Medical Sciences from the University of Exeter. I am in the third year of my course and am undergoing a placement under the supervision of Professor Jonathan Mill. During my degree I have developed an interest in neuroscience, in particular neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease. I have been involved in scientific outreach schemes such as Amazing Brain Week and the Wellcome Trust’s Wonder Street Fair, which ran alongside the British Neuroscience Association’s Festival of Neuroscience. My project involves using chromatin immunoprecipitation to look at histone modifications in those with Alzheimer’s disease.
