Sarah started her PhD at the MRC Social, Genetic and Developmental Psychiatry Centre, King’s College London in October 2013. She is supervised by Leonard Schalkwyk and Jonathan Mill.
In course of her Master’s degree in mathematics at the University of Freiburg, Sarah’s research interest lay in medical statistics and biometry. Furthermore, she completed a BSc in psychology in Freiburg with a focus on behavioural genetics and psychoneuroendicronology.
For the PhD Sarah was awarded a Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher fellowship as part of the Initial Training Network EpiTRAIN. She is investigating associations between DNA methylation, genotype, gene expression and neuropsychiatric disease.
